Mixed-age Classes ages newborn through 4 years

This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age four through all nine song collections. This basic class follows the recommendations of child development researchersgrouping children of a variety of ages because this fosters natural, family-style learning. Younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together. Each child participates at his or her own level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, watching, or exploring musical instruments. Any caregiversparents, grandparents or nanny can bring the children. The whole family is welcome for this important family music experience.

Big Kids Family Music Program Ages 5 and 6 only (siblings under 8 months only may attend)

“Big Kids Family Music®” is a new 60-minute class geared to the interests and social nature of children ages 5 and 6. (To attend the Bid Kids Family Music class, your child must be 5 years of age by the start of the semester you wish to attend.) Families still play an important role in this class, although the adults and children may have different musical roles. Game songs, folk dances, jam sessions, dramatic play, and more structured work in rhythm and tonality will be included. Orff metallaphones and Glockenspiels will be used by the children. The class will use the current song collection and additional materials. Learn how to support your child musically as he or she develops interests and skills in singing, playing instruments, taking dramatic roles, creating, and dancing. During the last 15 minutes of the hour long class, parents/caregivers and siblings of ANY AGE may attend for the Playalong, Lullaby, Goodbye and general announcements

For expecting moms who wish to continue taking Music Together classes but are uncomfortable making a ten-week commitment we have a special OFFER:

To qualify for this offer, your baby should be due either during the next semester or up to two weeks prior to or two weeks after the semester

The offer is: to pay for and attend only 5 classes at $18 plus materials at $40 = $130 as opposed to $220 for the full ten week session. Siblings over 8 months are charged at $62.50 (5 classes at $12.50 each). Moms can choose any 5 weeks within the semester to attend (the weeks do NOT have to be consecutive). Attend when you and your children feel up to it! Extra classes beyond the five in this semester can be paid on a pay as you go basis. We hope this offers you greater flexibility as you enjoy and adjust to another miracle in your life. Congratulations!
