Michelle has been enjoying the wonderful Music Together curriculum ever since she took her daughter (Madelyn) for the first time to a class 9 years ago in Southern California. She was inspired to become a teacher in 2007 after her 2nd child (Dylan) was born and was thrilled to find an outlet for her lifelong love of music, teaching and children!
She has been making music professionally since childhood. She received her B.F.A. degree in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory. On the East Coast and in L.A., she engaged in various theatrical, recording & choral projects. After relocating to the East Bay area in 2009, she continued to teach but found her way back to the stage in 2011 as Glinda the Good Witch (Lescher Ctr.-Walnut Creek) in The Wizard of Oz. After spending time w/ so many munchkins, she decided to have one more of her own in 2012. She is looking forward to giving her baby (Evelyn) the same fantastic exposure to learning through the program that she experienced w/ her other 2 children. Now, 6 & 7 years old, they can often be seen and heard making up their own songs and dance moves...which is music to Michelle's ears & eyes :)
Michelle plays autoharp & piano in her classes.
In addition to being a Registered Music Together teacher Michelle has been also been awarded Certification Level 1 from Music Together® for outstanding achievement in teaching and articulating of the program.
