Originally from the Bay Area, Rana began her creative career in junior high with The Belasco Theatre Company, performing in several musicals each year, and meeting the people who would come to be most influential in her life. She went on to graduate with honors from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Drama. Studies included acting, dance, song performance, and many other facets of theatre, television, and film arts.
In tandem with pursuing a creative career, Rana has been teaching voice, acting, dance and music, directing both youth productions and adult theatre, and coaching private lessons for singers and actors for over a decade. She is happy to be back in the Bay Area after a stint in New York City, as she and her husband just welcomed their first child into the world. Rana feels that introducing young children to music is of the utmost importance to both the future of the planet and to each individual's well-being. Rana is a registered Music Together teacher.
